Beginning in August 2003, Amani opened its doors. Expecting just a few babies, they were surprised with thirteen! Quickly they moved to a larger home with more space for the children. This new home had a great yard for a tree house and more room for everyone

As Amani continued to grow, they moved to an even bigger compound. This new space included a nursery, cottages, an office, a kitchen, volunteer quarters, storage, and even a chicken coop and goat barn. This allowed them to better care for the children and provide a loving and nurturing environment.
